Is The Choicer Voicer on Steam?

The Choicer Voicer is not currently sold on Steam. In a recent official Q&A, YeahMaybe said a Steam release was at least roughly six months away because the game remains in alpha and still needs more polish.

The developer's current Steam answer

YeahMaybe addressed the Steam question in an official itch.io post and said the release was not expected in the immediate future. The estimate was at least around six months, paired with the explanation that the project remains in alpha and needs additional polish before a broader storefront launch.

That is a development estimate rather than a release date. Store submission, testing, and game readiness can move in either direction, so a third-party countdown or an unlinked date should not be treated as an announcement.

Where to buy and follow it now

The official itch.io listing is the current purchase and download destination for Windows and Linux. It also collects devlogs, version files, pricing, comments, and publisher identity, which makes it more useful than an isolated download result.

Follow that account or bookmark the developer's devlog if Steam availability is the only thing you are waiting for. This guide will date its own answer rather than implying that a storefront status can never change.

  1. Check YeahMaybe's official itch.io profile for a new release post.
  2. Look for a direct Steam link supplied by the developer, not a search ad or key reseller.
  3. Confirm that the Steam publisher and game description match the official channels before purchasing.

What about Steam Deck?

A native Linux download exists, but that is not the same as an official Steam Deck compatibility rating. You may be able to add a non-Steam executable and experiment, yet microphone selection, file permissions, and custom-pack paths can behave differently from a normal desktop Linux setup.

If you try it, keep expectations separate from an official supported platform. Preserve the original download, test audio before adding packs, and check the itch.io discussion for newer device-specific reports.
